From Conflict to Confidence: Kian’s Journey.

Kian joined the Jobs Growth Wales+ programme with Itec. At the beginning of the programme, he often displayed frustration and irritability, on occasion creating conflict due to his dissatisfaction with being in the centre.

Kian’s progress since then has been exceptional. With support from Itec staff, Kian is now a completely different learner. Kian has made outstanding progress both academically and personally. He applies himself fully to his course and consistently gives his best within the programme guidelines. The structure and opportunities provided in the centre have played a key role, and Kian is now working at a high academic level.

Itec staff have recognised a significant difference in the centre. Kian is respectful and polite, bringing a calming presence to the JGW+ centre.

One of his tutors reflected on his journey:

“On a personal level, I have genuinely enjoyed our conversations about movies and video games, and it is easy to forget that he is the same young man I met months ago. Witnessing his maturity, growth, and dedication has been inspiring and is a reminder of exactly why I love doing what I do.”

Kian’s positive transformation is a testament to his resilience, commitment, and capacity for growth, growing into a confident and mature learner.
