Key function of role

Working within our busy Service Centre you will work within a small team of Service.

Engineers servicing and repairing coffee machines for commercial and domestic
customers.
You will learn and overtime develop the skills needed to identify and rectify machine faults by observing and assisting the Service Engineers with their day-to-day duties. This may involve some travelling which will involve assisting the Engineers with lifting coffee machines on customer premises.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Ensuring workshop areas are organised, clean and safe
• Assisting Senior Engineers when attending customer sites for coffee machine installs, servicing and repairs
• Assisting Senior Engineers with workshop jobs
• Stock control of parts
• Ordering stock from suppliers
• Checking incoming deliveries
• Liaising with Suppliers and Customers by e-mail and face-to-face
• Liasing with Service coordinator to assist in the smooth running of the Service department

Essential Experience and Skills

• Must be physically fit – this role will include lifting and moving coffee machines
• Technically minded and must be able to demonstrate a keen interest in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and e-mail
• IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Excellent numerical skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to take direction well and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to multitask
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
• A level or equivalent standard of education

Desirable Skills

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering related qualification
