Role and Responsibilities Summary

An administrative assistant within the security industry plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the business while ensuring that security-related processes and services run efficiently. Below are the typical roles and responsibilities for this position:

  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as managing schedules, booking appointments, and maintaining files.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients, staff, and vendors.
  • Prepare and manage office documents and correspondence (e.g., reports, letters, memos).
  • Organise meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
  • Maintain and update client databases, including security personnel schedules, incidents, and equipment inventory.
  • Process and manage incoming reports (e.g., security incident reports, site logs).
  • Attending events & festivals on weekdays & weekends to help with admin & allocating kit.

Skills

 In this role, strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills are essential, as the assistant will need to juggle various tasks while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, especially concerning sensitive security matters.
