    Who Is This Course For?

    All employees, at any level, who want to better understand how racism, bias and microaggressions can show up in everyday workplace interactions and how to respond to them appropriately.

    What Will This Course Help Me Do : Learning Outcomes?
    • Having completed this training, you will be able to:
    • Identify the different ways in which racism manifests itself in society and in the workplace.
    • Evaluate the case for tackling racism and the positive impact employers can have when they do so.
    • Differentiate between different forms of racism, such as institutional, structural, interpersonal and internalised racism, and racism against specific groups.
    • Critically evaluate the principles of anti-racism and identify what an anti-racist organisation looks like in practice.
    • Apply a range of strategies to recognise, prevent and respond to racism, bias and microaggressions in everyday workplace interactions.
    • Analyse the extent to which organisational cultures, leadership, policies and working practices promote anti-racism and develop practical strategies to support this.
    • Design and apply a range of anti-racist approaches that can be applied to a range of workplace activities, such as recruitment, meetings, team working, career development, customer service and stakeholder engagement.
    • Develop a realistic personal action plan for promoting anti-racism, together with strategies for dealing with challenging situations.
